Enc1102-13 Blog 2

Whether writing an essay, a novel, or just a blog, it is always important to understand who your audience is. After all, your audience determines how you write. Whether it be to a professor, to your mom, to someone that hates you, or to someone that loves you, who your writing to is what defines your paper. My second paper in this class identifies what stereotypes are, how they come about, and how they are used in a video game called Dragon Age, and how they play a part in the conflicts between Templars and Mages in the insuing war between them, explaining how it was both a societal effect from past events, along with fear of the possibility of dangers that both sides presented to each other that brought forth such a biased hatred for each other. For this, my audience is whoever wishes to understand the reasoning behind Stereotypes and how they form, or someone that has been affected by Stereotypes in their life and want to know how stereotypes are justified in our society, basically it is an informative paper using instances in Dragon Age, more specifically, the Mage-Templar war, in order to explain the reasons and causes of stereotypes.
